This month, we invite you to examine the everyday objects around us – furniture! Often overlooked, our furniture has been part of countless stories and events. Uncover these hidden narratives through our imaginative drama performance, storytelling session in the gallery, and a craft activity where you can design your own furniture and space.
11:00 AM – 3:00 PM ACM Lobby, Level 1
Unleash your inner interior designer! Create a 3D diorama of a cosy sofa corner or a dining area inspired by the furniture on display at the Court and Company Gallery. Use air-dry clay, decorative stickers, and coloured paper boards to design a space just for you! Suitable for ages 5 and above with parental guidance. While supplies last.
11:30 AM & 2:30 PM River Room, Level 2
A bright sunny day suddenly turns grey and gloomy, leaving best friends Mish and Liz stuck at home. Using their imagination, they transform furniture and household items into extraordinary things that bring them on whimsical adventures. Join Zip Zap Zoom Collective in this interactive and playful performance that celebrates creativity and imagination. Suitable for ages 4 and above.
1:30 PM Court and Company Gallery, Level 1
Limited slots available.
A mother and her two children live peacefully with their animals, until a fearsome ogress disrupts their home! Join storyteller Hafiz Rashid on an exciting rescue mission in this fun storytelling session inspired by the objects in Court and Company Gallery. Suitable for ages 5 and above. Gallery admission applies.
