About Denise Chong Denise Chong is a beadwork artist and set designer based in Singapore. Her label launched in 2021, and she hopes to convey a feeling of intimacy with her pieces. She is currently working on Collection IV.
About Eskpade Millinery
Eskpade Millinery by Kristine Hakim is a vintage-influenced brand inspired by Hollywood glamour icons such as Marlene Dietrich and burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese. At Eskpade, each hat and headpiece are handmade with both traditional and contemporary craft techniques, using the highest quality material. Their goal is to create unique, fun, and elegant pieces tailored to a client’s individual preferences.

He shares his doll collection and social life on his Instagram account @jianyang1979. Jian is also the author of #FlushableFashion, a book that chronicles doll couture made of toilet paper and other upcycled materials.

Unravel the secret to preparing the many delicate pieces on display in the Andrew Gn: Fashioning Singapore and the World exhibition with Chuance Chen, from the Heritage Conservation Centre. Get a textile conservator’s perspective as he shares behind-the-scenes experiences and stories of the objects.
About Chuance Chen
Chuance Chen graduated with an MPhil in Textile Conservation from the Centre for Textile Conservation and Technical Art History at the University of Glasgow. He has worked at Singapore’s Heritage Conservation Centre for over 10 years and was the textile conservator-in-charge for several special exhibitions, including In the Mood for Cheongsam: Modernity and Singapore Women (2012) and Nyonya Needlework: Embroidery and Beadwork in the Peranakan World (2017).
