Learn about the intricacies of paper craft with a Mexican master artist, listen to folk stories from the Philippines, and go on an exciting digital adventure through the exhibition with our activity trail, with prizes to be won. Then, relax with a good book and a craft activity at our Reading and Crafting Corner.

Interact with Maestro Pedro Ortega, an award-winning Mexican artist who creates stunning artworks with paper. From quirky papier mâché sculptures to intricate papel picado (Mexican paper craft), watch him create masterpieces at ACM.
About Maestro Pedro Ortega Pedro Ortega is a paper and cardboard artist from La Asunción in Mexico City whose works are celebrated worldwide. His prize-winning creations feature historical narratives that are crafted using a blend of traditional and modern techniques.

If you had a ship, where would you sail to? Craft your miniature galleon using air-dry clay, create some paper waves and enclose your sailing galleon in a decorative bauble.

About Hafiz Rashid Hafiz has been a docent at the Malay Heritage Centre for more than five years. He is interested in the history, culture, folklore, and languages of the Malay Archipelago (Nusantara) and uncovering their hidden stories.

Be immersed in magical fables, myths, and fairytales from the Philippines in this special storytelling session with Claire Betita de Guzman.
About Claire Betita de Guzman Claire is a Filipina writer based in Singapore. She has written five novels and co-authored a poetry collection, Dreaming of the Divine Downstairs, and is a co-editor of Get Luckier, an anthology of Philippine-Singapore writings. She works closely with the Migrant Writers of Singapore collective and has led talks and panels at the Singapore Writers Festival and Poetry Festival Singapore.
