School Visits & Programmes
Self-Guided Visits
Bring your students on an exploratory journey to learn about the experiences of prisoners of war and internees during the Japanese Occupation.
A booking is required for all group visits of 10 students and above and should be made at least 10 days in advance of your planned visit.
Docent-Guided Tours
Let our docents engage your students with stories about the prisoner of war experience during WWII in this guided tour of the Changi Chapel and Museum.
Bookings are subject to availability of docents, and are for students Primary 5 and older only. Fees may apply – please download the Docent Tours for Schools Infosheet for more information. An Education Officer will follow up after booking regarding payment and other details.
Note that tour availability can only be confirmed 1-2 weeks before the date of visit. If unavailable, you will be advised to change your booking to a self-guided visit instead.
The maximum capacity per session is 40 students, and bookings must be made at least 42 days in advance of your planned visit.
Student Resources
Explore the museum and understand more about life in Changi through an activity booklet that presents the stories of four characters, based on actual World War Two internees.
Download e-copies of the Primary Student Guide (ages 10-12) and Secondary Student Guide (ages 13 and above).
A limited number of hard copies are available at the museum upon request. Please email us before your visit at NHB_CCMBC_Programmes@nhb.gov.sg.
Booking a School Visit
From 2025, all bookings for schools based in Singapore should be made through NHB's online booking system, BookMuseums@SG. Click here to download the teacher’s manual for BookMuseums.
For schools based overseas, book your visit by emailing us at NHB_CCMBC_Programmes@nhb.gov.sg. Our education officer will contact you within 3 working days.
Admission is free for Citizens and Permanent Residents as well as teachers, students and staff from local government schools. Admission fees apply for other categories of schools. Please refer to the School Booking Form for a full list of terms and conditions.
