Into the Hawkerverse - Opening Weekend Special

This school holiday, we are opening a new exhibition at Children’s Museum Singapore. There will be an Opening Weekend Special on 25 and 26 May 2024.
Join us this May at our new special exhibition, Into the Hawkerverse!
The exhibition is centred on hawker culture, which is Singapore’s first inscription to the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2020.
Developed with input from children, this exhibition aims to deepen children’s understanding and appreciation of our local hawker culture, an important aspect of Singapore’s food heritage and way of life, through multisensory exploration and object-based learning.
Opening Weekend Special
We are having an opening weekend Special on 25 & 26 May 2024.
Outdoor Carnival: 10am - 6pm
Tickets (for both museum and carnival entry) are:
- free for all children (all nationalities)
- $10 per adult (all nationalities)
- Each paying adult will receive an outdoor carnival coupon which allows the coupon holder to redeem a drink, food items and a chance at the game booths.
If you would like to purchase additional coupons, you can purchase it onsite at the event.

Create your very own miniature ice kachang using clay in this fun, hands-on parent-child workshop! In the session, you'll learn to shape and texture clay to replicate the appearance of ice kachang, sculpt a small bowl, and discover techniques for mixing and applying colours to achieve realistic details. Keep your creation as a display piece or transform it into an adorable keychain to take home!

[Children's Day Special - Free] Makan Mischief

Little Mynah loves to help, so when her friends Jen and Jay are bored eating the same old noodle dish at the hawker centre, she comes up with a makan surprise for everyone! Join author and storyteller Evelyn Wong for an interactive storytelling in English, with multilingual dialogue. This storytelling session is presented by the Speak Good English Movement and a Children's Day Special.
