[Installation - Free Viewing] Singapore Night Festival 2024: nesting, resting, 1 2 3!

Date: 23, 24, 30, 31 Aug and 6, 7 Sep 2024

Time: 8:30pm - 10:30pm (last admission at 10:00pm)

What makes your home yours? Is it the shape and smell of your bantal busuk? Or perhaps the games and imaginary worlds you’ve invented using things around you? Come to nesting, resting, 1 2 3! as part of Singapore Night Festival 2024 to reflect on how we play, nest, and open up our worlds to welcome new friends into our lives and communities! This is a part of Singapore Night Festival 2024.

Please note that this is a special installation for Singapore Night Festival 2024 and is free for public to visit. This is different from the ticketed performance under the same name ‘nesting, resting, 1 2 3!’.

 

Date: Fridays and Saturdays; 23, 24, 30, 31 August and 6, 7 September 2024

Time: 8:30pm – 10:30pm (Last admission at 10pm)

Venue: Lewin Terrace (Entry from Children’s Museum Singapore private carpark)

Recommended Age: 6 months and above

Activity Fee: Free

Presented By: Tactility Studies, supported by Republic Polytechnic Diploma in Arts and Theatre Management

Terms & Conditions:

  1. This is a free programme. No pre-registration is required.
  2. Please note that the walk up to the Lewin Terrace involves some stairs and is unsheltered.
  3. We recommend wearing non-slip socks. Please remove shoes before entering the performance area. 
  4. Baby care: There are unisex bathrooms and a diaper changing table at the venue.
  5. We have a section of the venue as a quiet space. Do look out for signage or approach a staff if you need it.

It’s that time of the year where the museum will be opened to everyone during Singapore Night Festival 2024 and this includes access to two floor of exhibits, activities and fun. [Performance - Free] Singapore Night Festival 2024: The Tree of Dreams

A young camper overheard a conversation between a Bird, a Squirrel, and a Sambar Deer. They speak of a sacred tree on Bukit Larangan, where whoever sleeps beneath it can never wake from their dreams. There is also a saying that the tree will reveal secrets and treasures of the past that has yet to be found. So which is it? Will the young camper find out the truth behind the Tree of Dreams or will the animals get there first without him? This is a part of Singapore Night Festival 2024.

This September school holidays, join Catch Mee If You Can: Find the Noodles, Eat the Noodles! author Low Lai Chow for a noodle-hunting spree at Children’s Museum Singapore. Be prepared for lots of giggles into the hawkerverse… and that’s right: a totally, noodle-y makeover! This storytelling session is presented by the Speak Good English Movement.
