The National Museum of Singapore welcomes the donation of historically significant artefacts that help tell the Singapore story. We appreciate the priceless artefacts that have been donated so far to the National Collection, enabling the museum to curate exhibitions and present programmes that connect the past to our present and future.
If you have an item you would like to donate to the National Collection, kindly fill up the Artefact Donation Form and email it with a clear photo of your item to NHB_NMS_Curatorial@nhb.gov.sg for the museum to review.

This original flexi disc record was generously donated by Mr Low Kam Hoong. The flexi disc was issued as a souvenir marking Singapore’s full internal self-government in May 1959, and contains the first known recording of Majulah Singapura, which Zubir Said composed for the Singapore City Council before it was selected as the national anthem.
The record is now proudly displayed in our Singapore History Gallery, adding to the narrative of the formation of Singapore's national identity after independence.
Mr Chong Nam Soy was a former Rollei employee who donated this Rollei A26 to the museum. This artefact captures the story of a multinational corporation that engaged in precision engineering during Singapore’s period of industrialisation, producing quality products such as this camera.
It also represents Mr Chong’s professional involvement and development as an employee of that industry. Such interwoven stories of personal and national significance lie at the heart of our museum.
Bentley Tan, grandson of Lim Teck Kim, recognised the museum’s commitment to telling the stories of individuals who significantly changed and contributed to Singapore’s landscape. He donated a suitcase belonging to his late grandfather, Lim Teck Kim, managing director of the general store Lim Hoe Chiang Ltd and proprietor of Happy Valley Amusement Park. The case had been in the Lim’s family collection until it was donated to the museum. We are honoured to continue to preserve and share its remarkable story.
