Shakespeare in the Park

Shakespeare in the Park

Shakespeare in the Park

"For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Juliet and her Romeo."

A tale of sweet forbidden love, a bitter family feud and a timeless romance eternally sealed in a kiss.

2016 marks the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death and Singapore Repertory Theatre is proud to present Romeo & Juliet as part of an extra special Shakespeare in the Park.

We’ve captivated thousands at Fort Canning Park with past productions of The Tempest, The Merchant of Venice, Othello, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Hamlet – in 2016, revel in a classic tale of star crossed lovers with a picnic under the stars.

Directed by internationally renowned UK director, Daniel Slater, Shakespeare in the Park promises to be the outdoor cultural event of the year.
