2024 Museum Roundtable Lunar New Year Hongbao Campaign

Now in its 10th edition, the 2024 Museum Roundtable (MR) Lunar New Year Hongbao Campaign returns with new red packet designs based on the Zodiac Year of the Dragon!

From 12 January to 9 February 2024, visitors will be able to collect a set of unique red packet designs at 43 participating museums, heritage institutions and galleries, while stocks last. Each set will contain eight (8) pieces of red packets, themed respectively to the 43 participating museums.

RETURN OF LIMITED EDITION COLLECTOR’S BOX SETS

Our limited edition Collector’s Box Sets are making a triumphant return! Each Collector’s Box Set contains two full sets of MR Dragon Year red packet designs from all participating 43 MR members as well as a special edition design for the National Heritage Board that is not available anywhere else. The red packets in the Box Sets will have a unique orange background which is different from the red packets that can be collected directly at the participating museums, heritage institutions and galleries.

The Collector’s Box Sets are available in a limited quantity of 450 Box Sets which will be available for purchase only at Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall (12 Tai Gin Road, Singapore 327874) on certain pre-specified dates in January 2024 (more details below). The Collector’s Box Sets will not be sold at any of NHB’s other museums or offices.

Each Collector’s Box Set will be sold at SGD $108 nett. Each person is limited to the purchase of only one box set during the sales period. Payment for and collection of the Collector’s Box Sets will be conducted physically, only at Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall.

Registration for Collector’s Box Sets (10 January to 15 January 2024)

Registrations are to be made online at https://MRHongbao2024.eventbrite.com. Details of the registration process are as follows:

  1. Registrations start from 10 January 2024, 10.00am and end on 15 January 2024, 6.00pm (Singapore Time).
  2. Each person is only entitled to purchase one (1) Collector’s Box Set – multiple registrations are not allowed.
  3. Each person is only entitled to select one purchase date and time slot during registration. Each registrant will be required to indicate his/her identification number (eg. NRIC/FIN and only the last 4 digits – eg. 123A) and mobile number.
  4. Successful registrants will receive an email to acknowledge receipt of their registration shortly after. Within three (3) business days of registration, registrants will receive a follow-up confirmation email to confirm the date and time slot for purchase at Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall, and you will need to bring a physical or digital copy of the email with you to purchase the Box Set.
  5. If all purchase dates and times slots are full, registrants will be automatically placed on a waitlist and will receive an email to acknowledge this. If time slots that have been previously taken up become available, follow-up emails will be sent to those waitlisted to seek confirmation if they would like to take up these slots, in order of priority of addition to the waitlist.
  6. Please note that payment for the Box Set, at its face value of $108 nett, only needs to be made at the event venue at the point of purchase. NHB/Eventbrite will not ask for any upfront payment via emails or any other messaging platforms (SMS, Whatsapp etc).

Purchase and Collection of Collector’s Box Sets (20 and 21 January 2024)

Individuals:
  1. The Collector’s Box Set will be available to purchase for successful registrants only on 20 and 21 January 2024 at Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall. Walk-ins will not be entertained on these dates.
  2. Please visit Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall during your allocated time slot and show a physical or digital copy of the confirmation email and your identification number used for registration (eg. NRIC/FIN) to NHB’s staff at the event counter (next to the Visitor Services counter) for verification, and thereafter to the Visitor Services counter to proceed with the purchase of the Collector’s Box set. No copy will be made of your identification document.
  3. If you have successfully registered but are unable to be present in person and/or wish to authorise someone to make the purchase on your behalf, please notify NHB at least two (2) days in advance via email to MRHongbao2024@gmail.com, and provide us with the name and identification number (eg. NRIC/FIN and only the last 4 digits – e.g. 123A) of your authorised person. Please inform your authorised person to bring their relevant identification as well as a physical or digital copy of the confirmation email.
  4. If you do not turn up during your allotted purchase date and time slot, your registration will be forfeited. Box Sets that are not collected after the close of the purchase period for registrants may be made available for walk-in purchases on 27 January 2024 (see further details below).

Walk-in Purchases (27 January 2024)

  1. Approximately 50 Collector’s Box Sets will be available for walk-in purchase on a first-come first-served basis, between 10.00am to 5.00pm, while stocks last. Each person is only entitled to purchase one (1) Collector’s Box Set.
  2. Walk-in purchases are restricted to persons who have not already purchased a Collector’s Box set on 20 or 21 January 2024. Walk-in purchasers will have to show your identification document prior to purchasing a Collector’s Box set.
  3. Please note that you will have to provide a copy of your identification number prior to purchasing a Collector’s Box set.

Payment

  1. Cashless payments are preferred. Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall accepts most major card carriers, including but not limited to VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All sales are final and no refunds or exchanges will be allowed after payment is made.
  2. Please note that there will be no further sales of the Collector’s Box Sets outside of the above dates.

Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)

  1. We may retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by applicable laws. We will cease to retain your personal data, or remove the means by which the data can be associated with you, as soon as it is reasonable to assume that such retention no longer serves the purpose for which the personal data was collected, and is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes.
