Celebrate National Day with an array of programmes and activities at ACM. Learn about Singapore’s heritage and culture through online videos and onsite programmes. Participate in a community art project, try your hand at a themed craft activity, learn how to dish up some classic Singapore recipes, or join our docents on guided tours that uncover our cross-cultural past!
6−8 August 11am to 5pm The Batik Workshop, L2 Participate in a community art project by contributing your favourite national icon to a patchwork-inspired batik. Drop by the Batik Workshop space at L2 between 6 and 8 August and add to our community batik painting! The completed work will then be displayed at the ACM Lobby from 9 to 15 August.
Suitable for visitors aged 6 and above.
9 August 11am and 2pm River Room, L2 Join chefs from Sunrice Global Academy for this festive cooking demonstration! Learn how to prepare two classic Singaporean dishes, and hear about the cross-cultural influences they share. Get a taster portion along with the recipe, and tips and tricks from professional chefs! Participants can also try their hand at preparing egg-salt – a sustainable and nutritious condiment, to take home.
Suitable for participants aged 10 and above.
